Five-week Workshop in Berlin this Summer -- funding available.

  Minnesota AATG  News Item

Prof. Robert R. Shandley and I are teaching a five-week-long seminar in Berlin June 22-July 27, 2014. It's the third time that NEH has funded the seminar that's intended for K-12 teachers with at least intermediate mid German proficiency. The topic is timely and important: Migration and German Culture: Berlin's Cultural Diversity Across Two Centuries. We have room for 16 participants, and each of them receives $3900 to help defray expenses. Since Berlin is still remarkably inexpensive, German teachers or others interested in the topic will get to spend some quality time immersed in the culture with very few out-of-pocket costs. All the information about deadlines, eligibility, housing, the syllabus and much more are on the website.  https://www2.lawrence.edu/fast/petersob/NEH/
I'm also available to answer people's questions.

 Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
Brent Peterson
